Pubs in the Herndon area?
Are there any places in the Herndon area where someone can get a beer and watch the game without the bar scene (real smokey, loud, etc)?

One of my absolute favorite places to watch a game is Velocity Five. They have 35 TVs showing all NCAA and NFL action. The food's great and on Saturdays, they have half-price wings. The smoking is restricted to the patio, so you don't have to deal with a smokey bar. But as far as noise, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's mellow, sometimes it's a loud party.
Another option is O'Faoleins.

There's also Mediterranean Breeze Restaurant and Sports Bar, 781 Station Street, in downtown Herndon. The TVs are upstairs.

When I lived in Herndon, Jimmy's was our favorite bar.

It's unlike other suburbanish bars like those at the RTC--much more divey, very spirited.
