It is about 32 miles. How long might it take on an average? Also, what are the best case (no accidents, all lights are green, etc) and worst case (accidents galore, bumper to bumper, all reds, etc) scenario commute times?

Toll Road to Beltway to 270 , I would allow at least 40 minutes to the Tuckerman area.

The scenic route:

Jubal Early Ferry -- 35-45 to Shady Grove side of Rockville, if you don't have to wait. Add 10 minutes or so if the ferry is at the Maryland side.

But Rockville is a pretty big area so it depends on which part. Both of those times would be without any major issues like rain, snow, ice, traffic tie ups and, of course, that's WITH a SmartTag.

Could be well over an hour with any "issues"!

Good Luck!

I often went from Ashburn to Bethesda (next to Rockville) and it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 1/2. It really depends on what time you leave. I would leave at 9 and get there at 10 or 10:30am...495 can be AWFUL.
