The price of the Tyler also went up by 5K. A very good sign for all of us who have already purchased.

I recall the the original price of Blake was $499K, Stuart was $619K and Tyler was $709K when they first opened to the market. The price of Blake has gone up, Stuart has came down (although, it's not really coming down since they took out standard options and reduce the base price) and Tyler has came down.

Wondering how aggressive the sales will be in the upcoming spring. I think they aren't doing too bad so far.

Just an update - saw 4 or 5 verizon trucks on the far side of Vaden drive this morning across from the sales office. Might be a sign that Fios is coming?

That would be really nice, but they should have done it earlier!

Did anyone get a discount for not using a Realtor?

I don't think Pulte will give anyone discount for not using a realtor (I may be wrong though). You can save 1.5% if you buy with Redfin though; I saw some completed Metrowest units on redfin a while back but right now there is no "quick move-in" home so you will have to wait until the building is completed before it will appear on redfin again.

We specifically asked about this and were told that no discounts are offered for not using a realtor. However, some realtors would split their commission with you.

I definitely commend anyone who chooses to live at Metro West for making a responsible choice in purchase location. You are gonna be able to save hundreds a month on transportation cost, you'll reduce your dependence on oil, be able to actually spend time at home, and get to DC in 20 minutes on the weekends!

I am considering moving there when the highrises start construction, but for now I just cant afford a townhome in that region, still owning a condo in Tysons.

I move in early summer. I noticed most units have home alarm systems. Do you have any recommendations on which company to use? And about how much installation and monthly costs are?
