Admittedly, I have been amused, irritated and sometimes impressed by some of your posts, but please do yourself a favor and be in your early twenties for five minutes. If I recall correctly, you had a "modest" upbringing, but to read these posts you come off as a spoiled, self-centered individual that is used to getting his way all the time. You have a degree in a desired/demanded field and have had what? 1 job. Your twenties are ALL ABOUT discovering who/what you are and made of and it sounds to me that your biggest desire in life is to be 55!!! Quit the whining and start living!!! If you don't like it here, leave, but honestly given your posts, I believe you will be miserable in some fashion anywhere. As you mature, I think you will find that if you are happy in your life situation and have a job that stimulates you and makes you feel valued, the physical place you inhabit becomes less significant.

That's true enough. If you're lucky enough to get a lease like that, you would only be on the hook for your fair share.

All too often, though, when a housemate leaves under bad circumstances the others take a financial hit because of it. Even in a rental where all is included and equally divided among separate leases, the rent might find a way of rising upwards each year if housemates tend to jump ship and the landlord has to pick up the slack...
