I recently became curious to see just what famous people I may potentially be rubbing elbows with on Sunday afternoon when I play to battle the crowds at the Tyson's Corner Center to start my Christmas shopping. As such I did some digging on a few web sites and found quite an impressive array of local celebrities! I will post more as I find them!

Clinton Portis (NFL), Georgetown Court, McLean

Colin Powell (Former Secretary of State), Ballantrae Farm Drive, McLean

Gilbert Arenas (NBA), Georgetown Pike, Great Falls

Steven Case (AOL Co-Founder), Turtle Lane, McLean

Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals Owner), Sorrell Street, McLean

Prince Bandar bin Sultan (Saudi Arabian Ambassador), Chain Bridge Road, McLean

Fred Thompson (Politician), Ballantrae Farm Drive, McLean

Caron Butler (NBA), Jarist Court, Clifton

Eric Prince (Blackwater Founder), Mill Ridge, McLean

Newt Gingrich (Former Speaker of the House), Windy Hill Court, McLean

Pat Buchanan (Former Presidential Contender), Savile Lane, McLean

Art Monk (Former NFL Player), Lake Windermere Drive, Great Falls

Clarence Thomas (Supreme Court Justice), Rutledge Drive, Fairfax Station

Darrell Green (Former NFL Player), Rostormel Court, Ashburn

Scooter Libby (Assistant to President Bush), Live Oak Drive, McLean

Maybe one of them will rent you a room when your current lease is up ...

More on the way over the course of the weekend. I'm getting sort of tired now (getting up for work at 4:45 AM doesn't help! LOL!)

I think it would be awesome to stay with Clarence Thomas actually (although I'd die in a place like Fairfax Station). He seems to be a brilliant man, and I've always had an intense interest in the law.

How did you get these peoples' addresses? I have to say I'm uncomfortable looking at people's homes like this, especially the homes of people who have clearly tried to protect their privacy with high walls. This feels like an invasion of privacy.

That doesn't make it right... but I guess the owners of those homes have had a chance to protest, and they didn't choose to. C'est la vie, looks like this is one more reason I'm glad I'm not a celebrity.

Apart from the fact that they are aerial, as opposed to direct, views, there's nothing in Scran's post that the Washingtonian doesn't publish once a year. Some of these properties look like theme parks!

If you want privacy live underground. I think public figures should have zero privacy. That's the price they pay.
