I expect to be able to get the car out tomorrow, and I really expect that we'll be ready to get out, after being home together all day today. Is anyone willing to recommend your sledding hill in the Vienna/Oakton area? (I won't tell anyone else.)

If you can make it to Fairfax City - the BEST sledding in the area is a Van Dyke Park!

Do you have a building with a tall set of steps out front? With this amount of snow, you can coast right down the steps. They were just showing a whole bunch of people sledding down the front step of the mormon temple.

If you don't have a sled, do you think a big cardboard box would do? I mean what the heck, how often do we get crazy snow like this? I might just go sledding too.

For those looking for sledding today, Van Dyke is a great option. A lesser know park would be Ratcliffe Park off Sager Ave in Fairfax City. Great smaller hills and lots of neighborhood kids.
