Tomorrow, March 16, you can learn how to make Handmade Pastas with Homemade Sauces at Cookology in Dulles Town Center

So maybe cooking classes aren't your thing because your meatballs always tastes like a hockey puck? Then forget the cooking class and go to a hockey game. Tuesday night is the Capitals vs. the Panthers.

I'm sure there are all sorts of St. Paddy's Day special events around town on Wednesday. Two that I know of:

St. Patricks Day Party at The Brickskeller. Celebrate to the Sounds of a Live Irish Band. RSVPs must be made online through the ICDC website. International Club of DC -"Discover your city. Discover your world". The Brickskeller is at 1523 22nd St NW in DC

Also on Wednesday The 51st State Tavern at 2512 L Street, NW will be serving several of the St. Pats standards like Corned Beef and Shepherd's Pie, as well as $3 Emerald Shooters. Irish bands/tunes on the jukebox, and prizes.

I saw one of those traveling amusement parks set up outside Landmark mall in Alexandria. I'm not sure how long it will be there, but I passed by it today.

Tomorrow, March 22, is "Under 35 Night" for "Little Shop of Horrors" at Ford's Theater. Patrons under 35 can get $10 tickets.

On Tuesday, you can go to a Cooking Class at Mon Ami Gabi. Learn to prepare a three-course French-inspired meal from Executive Chef Martin Ticar. Mon Ami Gabi I think this course may be part of a series, so if you're interested go to the website for details.

Also, on Tuesday Steven Wright is at the Warner Theater

Tomorrow is "Meet Me at the Movies" at the Multiplex Cinema in Reston.(Movies are free for Seniors.) I'm not sure if this is for all the shows or just specific ones, but I'm sure a simple call to the theater will answer that.

Don't know what to make of this announcement, but the Moody Blues are apparently playing at the Daughters of the American Revolution Hall March 26at 8 p.m.

Oh man... they used to be rebels. Well, maybe not big-time rebels but they were the kind of group my mother hated, which made them ok in my book!

LOL, you know time is passing when the band that once made your mother scream is now playing at the DAR. Anyway, I have no further information, no idea how much tickets cost, no idea how they hooked up with the DAR. But I must admit I'm intrigued. I like the Moody Blues, so I might just have to check this out. BTW, the DAR is at 1776 D St., NW.

This weekend, Dulles Expo Center has the Craftsmen's Classic Arts & Crafts Festival and the Collectors' Showcase of America.

Anyone else have things to add? I know there are all kinds of things going on around town this weekend. I don't want to be the only person adding to this list.
