I absolutely LOVE snow. I for one, will be very happy if the forecasters are wrong.

I don't need two feet, but I'd take a 5 or 7 inch snowfall every other week!

I'm still waiting to know when Reston plans to clear the snow off their sidewalks?

Didn't you hear--there's an alternate plan in place. Who needs to clear sidewalks, they'll just designate cross country ski trails!

I'm also not ready to write this one off but to be perfectly honest the minor 1-2 inch snowfalls can be the worst in this area. "Large" amounts of snow that occur overnight and into the early morning hours usually result in school closings and people working from home. With an inch or so of snow people still take to the roads resulting in tons of accidents and total gridlock.

I personally don't think we'll have any major accumulation but my worry is that the bitter cold temperatures over the past few days (or weeks) will translate into every flake sticking to the road.

According to both the weather channel and accuweather we are actually supposed to get into the 40's this next week. I think this weekend is supposed to be very cold. However it is quickly becoming apparent to me that the weather forecasters frequently get things wrong. I always hear people in NM say "our forecasters shouldn't go to Vegas because if they gamble like they forecast the weather they wouldn't do very well." So while I would love to get excited about the warming that is supposedly coming next week I will just take it day by day. LOL
