Rec for good antique furniture refinisher in NoVA (or DC)?
As long as they can come out to my future home in Fairfax - we have no truck or similar vehicle.
(Long story short - some antique cherry furniture of mine was recently heavily water-damaged and needs to be refinished. I'll supply the finish and all of that.) TIA!

I haven't used this place but it was recommended to me for some furnture repair I need to do. I'm planning on bring my piece in, though - don't know if they come to your home. But you could always call and they might have a recommendation for you if they don't do it. It's called Looney and Sons:

I've used them for reupholstering and I was very pelased. I do nt have any experience wtih them in furniture refinishing, however.

I have used them before as well, but not for refinishing. However, I've had two chairs and two sofas done upholstered by them, and a friend has had 3 chairs done. They've done excellent work and stand behind what they do, so I wouldn't hesitate to try them for refinishing. They do have a truck and can arrange pickup/delivery as well.
