I'm looking to get new carpet for our townhome we just purchased. Any recommendations? Looking for good quality and a good price.

Also, are there are cheaper hardware stores besides Home Depot/Lowe's. Or are they the cheapest we can find??

Thanks!
Sara

Depending on what you are looking for, try Walmart for hardware items. Another option is Harbor Freight Tools on Smoketown Rd. I'm not familiar enough with the Woodbridge/Lakeridge area to know of any independently-owned hardware stores. In any case, you may not be able to beat the big box home centers in price. Have you considered alternatives to carpet? Compare the per-square-foot cost of carpet and hard surfaces. If your husband is handy, certain hard surfaces are fairly easy to install, while carpet usually requires a pro. Hard-surface floors are so much easier to keep clean and will last much longer than carpet--especially cheap carpet. However, I can appreciate that cost could be an issue if labor needs to be factored.

We are working with Carpet One in Woodbridge and by far they came in with the best estimate carpet for us. They are located near BJs off the PW PKWY. They have a big sale starting Friday that may help your bottom line.
