This one's name is on the edge enough:

It's like the owners think people are too dumb to figure out they will have Pho. It really makes me feel like I'm living in Boonesville.
Most of the Pho here sucks anyway. I can taste through all that MSG poured into it and see that's it just bland, crappy soup.
Stupid contractor companies too. Always naming themselves things like Leroy Construction, Cletus' Construction etc...

It's like no one knows if the company isn't named after some toothless mountain dweller no one will know it's a construction company.

Thanks very much for explaining this - now I can explain to my roommate that I'm not crazy for observing every time we're out that there's a strangely large number of Central American rotisserie places (most of which have some derivation of "pollo" in their names) in the DC suburbs. I wonder if this is where Chicken Out Rotisserie (a chain started in DC) got its inspiration. No, not for the menu, obviously, which is thoroughly American, but for focusing on rotisserie chicken and actually having "chicken" in its name (a practice I'd associated mostly with fried chicken places before moving here).

To complicate matters even further, there's the oh-so-tastefully named Cluck-U Chicken chain, with several locations in the DC area:

Default Not pronounced faux or "foe" with a long "o"

More like "fah" with a quick "ah" sound. That said, the wrong pronunciation is the most pervasive given its English conversion.

I wouldn't mind so much if there were some regular Vietnamese restaurants accompanied by the usual Pho joints. But nooo, every single one is a Pho joint. Is that really the only Vietnamese dish Restoners care for?

And if you want to name a restaurant after a dish, at least cook it well. But noo, most suck!(Pho Royal is descent, but I'm sick of Pho so w/e) What really drive me nuts is when they write "Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine" under the name when it's about as authentic as Sushi from an all you can eat Chinese buffet.

I love Vietnamese foods, just hate having 45 minutes and pay the toll road in order to get something decent at Falls Church Eden Center.
