Thanks for asking! The doctor thought strep (?) and an ear infection. My son doesn't cooperate when it comes to looking at his throat. Got antibiotics, he is already feeling a bit better (and actually slept through the night..).

Pediatrics@nite will double bill you and the staff are not happy working there. When I took my child there I was double billed. I heard the staff talking about Dr Bravo cheating them out of their pay and that they were still waiting on him to show them how to work the computer systems. One employee stated that she was owed over 50 hours in pay and was sure she was not going to see a dime of it. No one works there for more than a month at a time and for the billing staff there is none. The staff that works there have no medical training and no on the job training they are winging it. I have yet to get my money back from that office and cannot get anyone to take my calls. I am always told to leave a message and someone will call me back, but it never happens.

We found another "after hours" place that we've been happy with. It's more like a doctor's walk-in clinic rather than an urgent care - perfect for ear infections, strep, pink eye and common ailments. It's right next to Fair Oaks Mall and is called Fair Oaks Walk-In Medical Care. They are open until 9 PM most nights. We have been there 4 times now when our pediatricians office is closed. It's always been for an ear infection or sore-throat. We only had to wait more than 10 minutes one of those times and that was for maybe 20-30 minutes. I like the woman doctor better than the man. We choose to drive over there rather than go to the awful INOVA Urgent Care in Vienna that has had a minimum of 1 hour wait time every time I have been there. We've been very pleased. They took our BCBS no problem with the same co-pay that we pay at the pediatrician's office. They are at 12011 Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy, Fairfax.

Wow, I am surprised about the negative note about Pediatrics @ Night. I was first referred to go there by my pediatrician for a cardiac evaluation for my daughter (can't recall the exacts, but it was to do a test to rule out a particular issue that could have a relationship to her high frequency hearing loss. Sounds bizarre, I know, but the test came back perfect). We had a great experience there and everyone there was completely professional. Second experience was a quick check, and an Rx for antibiotics. Third visit was on New Years Eve, when my daughter clearly had an ear infection. I called and was told to come right away (around 7 p.m.). There was Dr. Bravo, all by himself waiting for us. Confirmed the ear infection, gave her a dose of antibiotics and a Rx we could fill the next day. I paid my co-payment in cash, and there was no double billing. I have had all great experiences there. Dr. Bravo and his staff have always treated us nicely and professionally. Frankly, if employees are talking about their pay and their boss around patients, I'm not so sure I would want to go back. We never witnessed any of this kind of behavior.
