I'm looking for a multicultural/ethnic (international would be great) charismatic church, preferably non denominational, with a dynamic teaching pastor (bible based) and good praise & worship (preferably mostly gospel). Relaxed atmosphere with jeans or dress-up acceptable. Teaching primarily on faith, God's grace and love; not harping on the sins or lifestyles of others. Small to mid-size in Springfield/Alexandria area, but NOVA or DC would be okay... Silver Spring if I must. Tall order? Maybe, but I'm sure there's at least 1 out there. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

This might be the type of place you're looking for - not sure about the gospel part, but otherwise seems like a possible fit. I think they meet in Arlington:

Grace Community Church | a church for people who don't go to church

Thanks for your suggestions. Word of Life is literally 5 minutes from me, so I've been there a couple of times. It is very international, but with regard to the sermons, music and size, just wasn't a fit. I went to Grace Community Church today. Based on the 1 visit, it is not really diverse (both ethnicity and age), but has a very warm, friendly atmosphere. The overwhelming majority appeared to be in their 20s possibly 30s, and the pastor seems to connect well with the young. It looks to be a great place if you're just starting to explore/pursue a relationship with God. I'll check out First Assembly of God. I welcome any other suggestions. PS if it helps, I'm a SBW in early 40s, born and raised outside the US.

Just saw your question and dialog. I wouldn't recomend Grace Community Church I got hurt there and gossiped about a couple of years ago. But it looks like you don't think it would fit anyway (they are more of a seeker church). I've been going to Christian Assembly since the Sunday before the two big snow storms. They are expressive in there worship, very welcoming, uplifting, have good sermons. I'm in my early 30's but most of the people there are 40+. You might want to try it.

What are Grace Covenant's services and worship style like (charimatic, expressive, contemporary worship music)?

I tried Grace Covenant quite few times. The worship is quite and pensive. The sermons were bible-lite and more filled with life/spiritual guidance. I once attended a weeknight service once where one of the pastors began "teaching" the congregation how to prophecy. Members participated in a quizzing session where one member stood at the front and others raised their hand to share prophecies about that person.
