Do you like the music on the radio around here or does it leave something to be desired? What would you like to hear that's not on there now?

Not a fan of radio here. The stations are notoriously slow on new music and have tiny playlists. Radio is better in Philadelphia and NYC and even in Baltimore.

I'd be happy if Annapolis's 103.1 WRNR had a better signal here. I also wish I could get the Baltimore top 40 (106.5, 104.3) and rock (97.9) stations better.

I'm able to get 97.9 pretty well throughout Fairfax Co.

It's OK in the car but doesn't come in great at work.

Pretty bad choices as far as I'm concerned.

I used to be able to get a Baltimore college station that played the stuff you wouldn't hear on commercial radio, but that was years ago.

I only listen to really two stations here. 91.9 which plays comtemporary Christian music and 104.1 which plays black gospel music. 91.9 is good. 104.1 plays too many commercials and their traffic reports completely avoid Northern VA.

I've given up on commercial radio around here and strictly listen to satellite radio.

Good question! I hate the stations here. The music is OK...but I find the DJ's to be really, really bad. So 'small" town and I moved here from a small southern town. We have Sirius in the car and until recently listened to it online at work (don't tell my IT guys!) But now you have to upgrade to premimum to listen online, and I guess I'm just too cheap to pay even more to listen to music.

The only station I get at work is WASH FM...strange mix of music. But now I know what Lady Gaga sounds like. Knowledge I could have gone another 20 years without knowing.

No idea. I either plug my iphone into my car or listen to XM.

Not that great. I miss when 105.9 used to play smooth jazz. Just the thing for a frazzeled mom's nerves. Any suggestions of similar stations?
