Sorry, had to be so blunt, did a search, either everyone's really PC or I'm in a huge hurry, but need to know where my kid isn't going to be the only Asian kid in the entire grade. Thanks

Thank you so much for your reply. Here's further clarification:

Suitable Annandale SFHs look like they're in the $800s. We don't want to be too close to the beltway. Can we find a new 4br place in an Asian-ey area for under $400?

"New" as in "brand-new?" For under $400K?
Don't worry about being too close to the Beltway. You'll be miles away.
The "under 400K" part is going to be much more difficult than the "Asian-ey" part.

ITA. For new construction, you might look towards Fredericksburg or Stafford.

You're in so much of a hurry that you had to write ... not Annandale? Wow, typing the same number of letters must have saved you so much time. Not buying it.

There are 4 Asian kids in my daughters 1st grade class in Alexandria, (she is one of them) as well as a smattering of just about every nationality out there. There is no clear majority in her class at all.

But if you really want to live amoung Asians I would highly recommend heading to Maryland, Gaithersburg etc.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that Annandale was any more Asian than the rest of Northern Virginia, but Fairfax County is 15.9% Asian, on par with Orange County and noticeably higher than Los Angeles County. The school system is currently 23% Asian, with large numbers of Koreans, Vietnamese, Indians, and Chinese (not sure in which order, but there are more Chinese in MD, and more Koreans and Vietnamese in VA).

I'm from one of the whitest towns in Fairfax County, meaning it's 11% Asian. I don't think your child will have to worry.

As others have stated, though, the $400k price constraint is going to be difficult. Loudoun County is slightly cheaper than Fairfax, and significantly newer, and also has a large Asian population. Stafford and Fredericksburg are noticeably less Asian, though.

How about Loudoun County? The Loudoun String Workshop practices just before the reheasals I attend for Loundoun Symphony, the majority of the children in the String Workshop are Asian.

I don't think adopted Chinese girls count as far as what the OPs asking. How about Springfield? They have some great Asian stores over there which usually indicates there's a reasonably sized Asian community nearby. Prices over there aren't too bad. It is close to the Beltway though.
