So I finally got a new (used) car. Looking for a place to get the windows tinted, as close to Ashburn as possible. Any recommendations?

There are a number of places you just have to Google them. I know there is at least one company that will come to you as well. Keep in mind that VA has tint laws and the company may or may not advise you of what you can legally have on the car.

Good advice! Thanks! I'm looking into L.A. Tint now.. BBB seems to rate them highly. Anyone have personal experience with them?

I found LA Tint to be expensive. I got the 2 windows of my 4Runner done for about $100 at a small shop near my job, LA Tint wanted $175 claiming their tint material was better. I went with the cheaper place near my work and after 3yrs it still looks fine to me. No bubbling and tint hasn't turned purple.

only 1 reason people try to tint windows or wear a hood in the mall, up to no good.

I have had over 5 cars done by LA Tint in Sterling. They do GREAT WORK and the job is guaranteed for life.

WRONG!!! Some people have medical conditions that require limited exposure to the sun. Have you ever had skin cancer?

LOL or trying to keep their little ones roasting in the car during a hot summer day on a long road trip.. My new car has black leather seats and I know they'll get extremely uncomfortable.

Wow, that comment is incorrect on so many levels. People tint their cars because it blocks UV-rays, helps keep glare out of your eyes, keeps interiors cooler during summer, helps make valuables less visible when you're not in your car, and on top of it all - it makes the car look nicer!

Call around to several shops to get estimates for the job. Tint is a fairly straight forward job, so their warranty and guarantee will be most important. Verify that they will add a lifetime guarantee against bubbling, peeling, or fading to purple, etc - that will make sure they back-up their workmanship, other than that it's just a big sticker on the windows basically.
