I would think not!

Hey, are we supposed to be getting something Monday night into Tuesday? (Don't smack me!)

Why do they think they are so cool waiting to announce? Looks like our partay is on Monday now. Oh wait, did I see that more snow is in the forecast?

Right now, Capital Weather Gang (who has been pretty much on-target with all this crazy weather these past few weeks) is saying this about the next few days:

The two caveats to the forecast above are that we still have to keep an eye on a coastal storm for early in the weekend. For now it looks like it will stay south and out to sea, but that's not a done deal yet. And by late Sunday or Monday, an area of snow could be approaching from the west courtesy a clipper system originating in Canada. For now, there's not much confidence in whether this system will materialize and how strong it would be.

I'm really anxious to see their updates as this gets closer, but so far they don't seem very worried about the weekend or Monday. Weather.com is saying "snow shower" for Monday, but that doesn't worry me at all...compared to what we've gotten, anyway!

Do you think they will be ready to open school on Feb. 15th (the first snow make-up day)?

Yes, that is correct.

Just go to WTOP News Closings and Delays; they have all the information for DC, MD, and VA and usually get it before anyone else (well before any of the local news stations)
