Hi-- just moved to Northern VA and hoping to get my DDs in piano lessons. Just wondering what the normal rate was here? I had one quote for $30 for 30 minutes. Is this the norm?

thanks so much!

I live in Woodbridge and pay $20 for a 30 minute session. This is in the piano teacher's home. I believe the rate is a bit higher to attend at a studio or to attend with a teacher that might contract out through Music and Arts.

I've heard anywhere from $30 to $45 for a 30-minute lesson. We found a woman who only charges $15 per 30-minute lesson, however. She's teaches out of her home in Vienna.

We pay $25 for 30 minute lessons weekly at the teachers home for our 3 y.o.. The instructor teaches weekly music classes at our daughters' preschool.

Wow, for your 3-year old? I didn't know that teachers taught piano to children so young. Does she/he sit still for 30 minutes? Our teacher won't take children until they are approaching 7.
