Hi All,

Sorry to post another thread about traffic, but after searching a couple hours, I still have lingering questions.

I need to triangulate between 3 commutes with jobs in DC, NOVA, and MD (yikes!). I am looking at buying a place somewhere in the general intersecting areas of N. Arlington, McLean, and Falls Church and want to know about commute/traffic inside the beltway.

From the intersection of Routes 7 & 29, how long would it take to get to the Chain Bridge in the morning? What is the fastest route--Lee to GW parkway or 267 to Kirby or Dolly Madison? Something else?

How long does it take to go from the Key Bridge to 495 via the GW parkway in the morning?

Assuming I lived in Arlington somewhere near 66 and/or Lee Hwy (29), for a commute to downtown Bethesda (assume Bethesda metro stop for simplicity), does it make a significant difference in commute time if I live on east/west end (between river and 495) or north/south of those roads? I could leave by 6:30 if it makes a significant difference.

Many, many thanks--this forum has been an invaluable resource for me over the last month or so.

I'm only going to try and answer one of your questions. From this intersection (Routes 7 and 29), I think the fastest route to Chain Bridge would be to (1) take Route 29 east; (2) make a left turn on Sycamore; (3) take Sycamore to Williamsburg Blvd; (4) stay on Glebe Road after Williamsburg merges with Glebe; and (5) turn on Chain Bridge off of Glebe.

Thanks--any idea how long that would take?

Key bridge to 495 on GW parkway in the AM would be opposite of the rush so Ii guess 15 to 20 minutes.

I'm trying to understand the last question. However, I would guess that the answer would be no.
