I've been to their website but never visited...can anyone tell me if it is worth it this time of year or is it mostly when the veges/fruits are in season?

Hi, we went in summer and I was really diappointed with what the market had to offer. Maybe if you live around the corner from there it may be worth going along to get fruit and vegies but I wouldn't waste my time again heading in to DC just for Eastern Market. That's just my opinion, coming from Melbourne Australia I've been spoilt with great markets so maybe I'm too fussy now. Not sure if much goes on there during the winter.

I've never been all that impressed by Eastern Market, but right now I doubt you'd find much at all. The reason is the snow plows left huge mounds of snow in their parking areas. Until it melts off I doubt you'll see much at the Eastern Market.
