I wonder how long it will be before we get all the trees and branches cleaned up. I'm starting to work on the mess in my backyard but even if I put in an hour a day it will take a week or so. We have a lot of pruning to do, as well as major tree/branch removal.

The good news is, we've now officially put the shovels away. For awhile they were at the front of the garage, but that space is now being used by leaf bags. We'll be raking up lots of leaves and twigs for a few weeks, so we're keeping an open leaf bag for the next few days.

Farewell, shovels... and may it be many many months before we need you again.

I've seen a few relatively heavy snows in March. But the accumulations were only high by normal Nova standards (2-3 inches). This year, 2-3 inches is laughably wimpy.

2-3 inches? We can shove that with a spoon... while we're drinking our coffee or tea

Now that the winter beast is behind us (crossing my fingers), please tell me this flukey weather won't return next year & I'll get to experience a "normal" VA winter. Right? Right???!!!
