See: LandRover 2.0

For this year, the assessed value of our house went down only 13%, a much smaller drop than the previous two years. In the time since the highest assessed value, reached in 2006, the assessed value has dropped 53%.

Remarkably, the house is still assessed for more than we owe on it ... but not by much.

Our assessed value went down 6.65%, which is of course less than what we paid. At least the amount of taxes we pay has gone down since 2006. I don't fret over the assessed value since I don't plan on selling any time soon.

For the record, the houses like mine in my neighborhood have been selling for about $60K over the assessed value. The exact same houses in another neighborhood about 3 miles away are selling for around the assessed value... weird.

Yup both my houses went down, but like Heather72 said it doesn't worry me because I'm not selling anytime soon.

The good news is my tax bill has gone down

My values eeked up a little bit this year. I'm now at $306,000. It's hard to believe that a few years ago I was at $499,000.

Our land stayed the same, but the improvement went up 20%, guess I see a fight on our hand!

Both my land and improvement increased but I can't really argue it. I've been watching over the last few months what houses are selling for right along my road. I have been pleasantly surprised to see the increases happening. Before the bust, my comparable home sold for $525,000. It's lowest selling point was $300,000. Then nothing moved for awhile. Now they are starting to move again and the sales prices seems to be back in the upper-300s so I am seeing an upward trend.

My house in 22192 went down about 9% but my house in 22191 went down about 17%. The land stayed the same in the 22192 property, but the land went down 19% on the 22191 property. Kind of wierd as I think the neighborhood the 22191 property is in is nicer, though of course it's further south so maybe that has something to do with it.
