I heard Harry Reid comment on the radio about how Senator Bunning's hold on a bill shut down reconstruction today of the Humpback Bridge on the GW Parkway "whereever that is". Amazing statement considering it's practically a stones throw from his office and he would cross over it driving from the Capitol to Dulles.

Its time for Harry Reid to go away. I would say that he should bow out gracefully, but its too late for that. I heard that Tom Daschele, John Edwards, and Al Gore need another golfer for their foursome

I doubt Reid drives himself from the Capitol to Dulles. He has an entourage of little people to chauffeur him around (at our expense).

He lives downtown at the Ritz Carlton. I got such a laugh when it came out that he had used campaign funds to give Xmas tips to various apt staff. Typical arrogant politico. After the primary I will contribute to his opponent.

Most congressmen and senators have lives that are totally isolated from Virginia, MD, and even DC. Then they go to Ray's Hellburger or Ben's Chili Bowl to pretend that they're "just regular folks who live here." Yah, right.

Harry Reid is so slow that it takes him 2 hours to watch 60 minutes

Seriously? That sort of blows the theory that DC is hyper-sophisticated because it's populated entirely by elite congresspeople (who come from all fifty states, mind you - but that's beside the point) and lobyists who fill its many charming neighborhoods and patronize its scores of yuppie local businesses.

I'm totally kidding, mind you. I'm not even sure that congresspeople and lobbyists would be the main market for charming neighborhoods or yuppie local busineses. Stereotypes are a very strange and complex thing...

You should be so slow. I'm sure you don't like the guy's politics....but one doesn't become majority leader of the US Senate without having something on the ball.

Just outfoxing the other 99 crooks in that place is a mean feat!

Ummm, how do you suppose Bunning gets to the airport?
