I am curious about the crime and safety of the area west of the king street metro tracks, north of king street in old town.. what are the connotations about living in this area?

Nothing wrong with it. Nice area and very convenient. Lots of professionals and govt. managers live over there.

Yeah, you're good to go right there. It's actually cool in that you're close to both Old Town and Del Ray. With some good shoes, it would be a healthy walk to each.

Very nice area. Also very expensive.

By the way, the area west of the tracks is no longer Old Town. It's known as Rosemont.

I think this area is exactly what I am looking for - Good old town proximity, but a little bit away from the tourist hustle.
