HI there,

We are quite new to the country and the VA state in particular. Due to my husband's work and lack of knowledge of the town we settled in Springfield. Now itís been a year since we started living there and decided to consider other neighbourhoods so our daughter could get in to a good nursery then school.

We would appreciate any advice on the welcoming neighbourhoods , good nurseries and schools.

Thanks in advance

Julija

Having lived in both the 22152 (Keene Mill Manor) and 22151 (North Springfield/Ravensworth) I can say from personal experience that both of those are quite family-friendly, neighborly and well-established neighborhoods that I was happy to live in.

I didn't realize getting into a nusery was that competitive. For value; 22150, 22151. For more upscale; 22152. Small parts of 22152 (Daventry) now attend Lee. I saw one of those townhomes assessed at 360K.

You are not clear. You presently live in Springfield, right? What part? Why aren't you satisfied? And now you want to move to another neighborhood in Springfield or outside of Springfield?

Thanks for your replies. The reason of us wanting to move is. We currently live in the Archstone block building opporsite the Springfield mall which is nice but good in the short term. We wanted to establish permanent friends who have kids too ...

Hope it sheds soem light

I have friends that live in Orange Hunt and really like it. School is close, there is a pool in the neighborhood and kids actually play outside.
