Hi all,

Im considering taking a job at Henderson Hall in arlington, I live in woodbridge , what am I looking at for commute time? It would be a 9-5 job, so im right in the middle of all the traffic. Is there any other ways to get there?? Im near the rippon landing VRE, would that be useful?

thanks

I would say at least an hour if not more. I've only been to Henderson Hall a few times. I believe the closest Metro is Pentagon/Pentagon City. Not a walkable distance.

If he can get up to the Pentagon, there is supposed to be a DOD bus that will take you onto Ft. Myer/Henderson Hall. For getting up to the Pentagon, I would check into that Omnilink bus or slugging.

You can take the VRE to Crystal City, which I think is on one of the DOD shuttle bus routes. If not, you can just hop on the Metro to The Pentagon transit center to get on the right shuttle. You can definitely make the trip without dealing with I-95 traffic, and the VRE would work since you're not an after hours commuter.
