My wife and i have looked at a single family home in the garfield estates area on Route 1. This is between Potomac High School and the city government/police station on route 1. Above the new contruction. The property, while old, seems nice and the neighborhood seems fine. Anyone have any good or bad experiences in that area? The owner lived in the house for 25 years.

It's a fairly quiet neighborhood. It's downfall is it's in Woodbridge but if you're set on living there then it's not a bad place. Some police activity takes place in there but no more than the avg neighborhood. A lot of the homes are still owned by people VS being rentals which always help.
