I think it dropped 20 degrees in about 5 minutes here in Fairfax/Burke. The thunder roar was awesome!

I walked home from woodley park today and it was pretty cool even before the rain began...

I don't mind the rain but I HATE thunderstorms. The winds were wild out there also. I saw one gust at Reagan at 59mph. I was looking outside at the tree next to my car and I was glad I switched to USAA and got a much lower deductible.

I do! I do! Love 'em!

I really enjoyed last night's thunderstorm and rain. I could do without the winds, though. Love how cool and refreshed the world seems today. It's gorgeous this morning. And the pollen's all been washed down the gutters--my nose is happy, indeed.

The thunderstorms here pale in comparison to the ones in Kansas, Mississippi, and Florida. It's nice not to have to worry about tornadoes with every single storm. I don't miss that!

I love the heat! But I am so thankful the rain may wash away some of the pollen!
