Default Any suggestions about where to move in NOVA if working in Leesburg

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok. Hi. I am new here so bear with me. I live in Calvert County Md. Owings to be exact and I love it here. My husband is supposed to take a job in the Leesburg,Va area and let them know by tomorrow. So the pressure is on for us for sure.
For the people looking at Annapolis....I work in Annapolis and love it, however the schools are TERRIBLE! Don't do it unless you want private schools. Calvert County is rated quite well on their schools and it will absolutely kill me to leave here. Their Elementary schools are top notch. We are in the Mt Harmony School District and you wouldn't be disappointed here. If you have more questions I would be happy to give you all the info you need. It is expensive to live here. None the less it is a short distance to Annapolis, balt and dc with a little country feeling and everything you need close by.
Now, for us....we are coming to Va tomorrow to look around and see what the area is like, but like I said are under pressure for my husband to take a job tomorrow. It would be about a 75 mile commute for him and that would be bad...he wouldn't deal well.....I would like a new single family home with a decent commute for him to Leesburg. Not sure the price-range....I see how expensive it is out there....probably more expensive there than here. I need a family oriented community with a country feel but not too country. I also need to have excellent schools with great shopping/restaurants etc....A friend lives in South Riding and loves it....they have no kids though. Public Schools. I am a nurse and can work anywhere with flexibility...I only work part-time. My kids living with us are 13,11,and almost 3.....I like to be involved in their activities. They like Sports-soccer and football/lacrosse and Drama/Music. Wow...sorry this is so long! Thanks for any help you can offer!
