I am a single mom w/ middle school son. Looking to move to NOVA and am considering Warrenton since close to many medical assist jobs in surrounding areas. I hope there is some new info out there about this area. I have been out of work w/ no prospects in Indiana as you know about the economy. Please let me know about what you think and if you happen to have a job for a CMA I can email resume which is outstanding.

I don't have much info on Warrenton but wanted to let you know most of Northern Virginia has these types of jobs. Before I got into real estate I did medical marketing and there is a TON for you. Loudoun and Fairfax County both have a lot. As I am sure Arlington/Alexandria do as well.

I would check out the local Craigslist. There are always a ton of jobs like this on there.

Good luck!

I lived in Warrenton many many years ago. So, its quite different now than it was back then. Warrenton is kinda out in the "country" of Northern VA. Its in Fauquier county which you may here people jokingly call it fuq-your county and other various nasty derivitives. When I lived there, back in 2000 and the late 1990's, it was more rural than it is now. It basically has one main street that goes through the entire town. There weren't a lot of non retail businesses there. I personally commuted all the way to Fairfax/Vienna from Warrenton every day. Back then it took me like 45 mins to an hour to get to Fairfax... but, today the traffic is just a nightmare going out that way from Fairfax.

Warrenton has built up quite a bit since then and it has some nicer homes now. I don't know if the businesses surrounding it have improved much.

There is a hospital close to Warrenton but if you have to commute anywhere near Fairfax or down into Manassas area, the traffic will be pretty nasty.

If you're talking to me, it seemed as if the OP's circumstances warranted a separate discussion from the older thread I separated it from.
