Hi. The fiance and I decided to take up golf as a shared hobby. I was just wondering if anybody could point us to the cheapest driving range in the area. We've only been to one once. It was Four Seasons in Fairfax. $10 for a large bucket - around 100 balls, I guess. Is there anywhere cheaper? Or is that probably as cheap as it gets? I did go to Woody's in Herndon on a company outing. But if I remember correctly, it was a tad more expensive if you didn't have membership.

Thanks in advanced.

Dulles Golf Park on Rte. 28 is where I would go:

Golf Range in Dulles Virginia - Dulles Golf Center & Sports Park (http://www.dullesgolfcenter.com/sites/courses/view.asp?id=383&page=10251 - broken link)

Aside from the range, they offer batting cages and a miniature golf course. Several of the bays tee the ball for you automatically. They also have heated bays for the winter. I always enjoyed using the range.

In Fairfax county your not going to do better than $10, I live south of you and I go to Locust Shade park in PWC and I pay $8 for a large bucket. I wouldn't drive 20 miles to save $2, I would stick to Four Seasons if I was you.

That's like .10 per ball where you're going??? Even if you find a place that only charges $5 for a large bucket, by the time you drive there, you've spent more than the $5 you save in time and gas.

Thanks guys. Guess I'll stick with Four Seasons. Wish they served alcohol there, though.
