I live in Centreville VA and am willing to travel anywhere in the DC/MD/VA area to see a good doctor for myself and family members. I usually use the Washingtonian Magazine "Top Doctor List" to locate one, but it's always good to get personal recommendations from patients too.

Dr. Dorothy Nicholson in Alexandria is who I go to (for fibro.) - I like her alot, she's in Alexandria in an older medical building (which doesn't bother me) - she takes her time with you and never makes you feel rushed.

Dr Odultula in Lansdowne/Leesburg has a good reputation...It could be spelled Odoltula. Dr Chou in Reston/Leesburg also has a good reputation. (I used to do medical marketing and visited these offices often)

Good luck!

Dr. Vijayabhanu Mahadevan, MD

I went to her for Fibromyalgia. She was awesome!

I highly recommend her.

Try Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates in DC (2021 K Street, NW Suite 300
Washington, DC 20006 202-293-1470 Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates, P.C.). I see Dr. Wolfe there for rheumatoid arthritis. They are an excellent practice--very state of the art.

Do not use Dr. Tae Chung in Reston. I went to him and he did not order meds required for my appointment.

Dr. Chou in reston is AWFUL. My mother had to basically tell her what to do. She never called with results, had to ask my mom what perscriptions to write, and never followed up on blood work EVEN WHEN IT WAS DANGEROUS. THIS DOCTOR IS AWFUL. Stay away from Maria Chou in Reston. A bad doctor to say the least. You dont want anyone you love under her treatment. Trust me.
