Okay, I know I've already asked tons of questions, and you've all been very helpful, but I just want to make sure I end up in a safe area!

I've been looking at some apartments around the Fort Meyer area... is this a nice area to live/close to public transportation/safe?

Also, I've pretty much ruled out living within walking distance to a metro (too expensive)... so are there any other safe areas you could suggest that might be close to a metro bus stop that could get me to the metro?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

The Ft Meyer area is not one I'm all that familiar with, but odds are you'll have access to busses. If you know the addresses of potential apartments, you can use Metro's RideGuide to get point-to-point directions to your workplace: Where are you going?

Ft. Myer is a safe area and you should be close to the Rosslyn metro station. If you've decided to live on a bus route, you might want to check out Shirlington as another possibility.

Arlington is a safe area but just like the other areas in NoVa...it's a pretty expensive place to live.
