I can see getting in and out of Leesburg as manageable. But, depending on the hours of arrival/departure, I still see the bottlenecks at Tysons Corner, esp where the Dulles Toll Rd feeds into Rte 7 east. Buses don't have their own lanes in that area and still get stuck in traffic like everyone else.

I think it's a good idea though and will definitely be used. Thanks for sharing!

My friend tried this the other day and said it worked surprisingly well. I don't think she's ready to take it every day, but maybe once a week.

My neighbor uses it almost every day and loves it. While the toll road is backed up from reston eastbound, they are cruising down the airport access rd. He gets his fantasy football done, and such with the wifi they have on the bus.

Yep Normie. It is a nice way to pass the time. Even buses that run between DC and Boston have wi fi on them. My friend take it to Tysons every day and I know when he is on the bus like right now as he does his FB and fantasy football and such, LOL

I knew the buses that run between cities like DC and Boston had them, but not shorter local lines like this. How about the metro buses? Do they have wi fi too?

I've been taking the Leesburg-Tysons express bus for about 4 weeks and I love it. It's a very comfortable and relaxing ride. My commute stinks in that it takes over an hour and a half from the time I leave the house to the time I get to work: 20 minutes to get to the bus stop, a little over an hour on the bus, and 10 minutes walking. It used to take me about 15-20 minutes to get to work in my previous job. Yet I find when I get to work nowadays I feel more relaxed than I did in the previous job, despite the much longer commute.

It's nice sitting on the bus in those special airport lanes with little traffic, passing all the people stuck in the regular lanes. I do feel bad for people stuck in backed up traffic on the toll road and route 7. It's not fun sitting there going 5 miles an hour. But it's still a great feeling not having to deal with that most days.

Only thing I don't like is that it's getting slightly busier. I dread the eventual days when I have to always share a seat. lol

This usually isn't a problem on the Leesburg-Tysons express bus. At least it hasn't been a problem on the days I've taken it. We don't merge on 7 at the 7 east exit and that's fortunate as I've seen that exit get backed up a ridiculous length. I'd be banging my head against the steering wheel if stuck in that.

I'm geographically challenged, but I *think* the express bus takes the route 7 west exit and makes a right to go east (buses are allowed to do that). If someone knows this is not the road I'm thinking of please correct me. The path the bus takes through Tysons is surprisingly not as congested as I had expected. But yes it is subject to traffic delays, which make long commutes even longer.
