Any suggestions for High Rise Apts in the Falls Church or Alexandria areas? My girlfriend and I are looking to move in a couple of months when our lease is up and would like to find a decent new high rise apt in either of those areas. She works in Alexandria and I will be working in Falls Church right off of 495. Our price range we hoping for is 1400-1650 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath or 1 bath if the place is nice.

Any ideas?

There are some new buildings in the heart of Falls Church and your gf could commute to Alexandria via cutting across Arlington and then going down the GW Parkway. I don't know what the prices are, though, although I'm thinking that seems low.

I rented for awhile in Park Center back in the early-mid '90s (intersection of King & 395), in the older building closer to the highway. It's just been renovated in the past couple of years -- originally built to be condos w/ W/D in each unit and nice flow to the floorplan. Condo market died and it opened as upscale rental and stayed rental after that. If you choose there, get the C building on the back side -- good light and the building blocks the sound from the highway.
