Do you think NW Indiana needs a separate forum section?
They call as the "region" and think we are more like Chicago than the rest of Indiana. We talk a bit different and our ethnic makeup is more diversified.
So do you think NW Indiana diserves a separate section in this Indiana forum like Indy does?

My 2 cents:
I think there should be a "Michiana" section that would include Michigan City, South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Bristol, Goshen etc.
I see there are quite a few people moving to Indiana and giving them a section to discuss Michiana would be helpful to them.

Yes,
I think Gary needs a section ALL by itself. We all know why .

No, b/c NWI can be covered in the Chicago suburbs section. That's basically where the region falls. It doesn't have enough going on (especially independent from Metro Chicago) to warrant its own section. It seems like many (if not most) of us used to live somewhere in the IL side of Chicagoland anyway!

It already has its own forum- under ILLINOIS in Chicago. I guess you could call it "suburban Chicago in Indiana" or simply "That little tiny part of Indiana not on Eastern Standard Time"

The NW Indiana forum should NOT be under Illinois. It should be in Indiana where it belongs. I am not an Illinois transplant either, born & raised in Lake County Indiana.

I messaged the admin ok? I have no control over creating new sub forums. And no, imho, NW Indiana, if it does get it's own section, does NOT belong in the Illinois board. We've been having a lot of activity regarding the region in this board ...

NWI should have its own sub-forum under Indiana. But it does have more in common with Chicago / Chicago suburbs than the rest of the state.
