Tennis courts in Schererville/Merrillville (Hope: house, live, best)

Hello. Thanks to this insight on this forum, my girlfriend and I have purchased a house in Schererville (as opposed to the Tinley park area).

I have traveled around most of the area and have yet to see a single tennis court. We like to play tennis pretty often, but it seems there are no courts around us.

We live near the Schererville/Merrillville border, near Rt.30. Does anyone know of any public tennis courts in this area?

The only tennis courts I can think of in Schererville are at Stephen's Park on Alexander Street... it's about 1/2 mile south of route 30 and 1/2 mile east of route 41. I would say your best bet is to go to the town of schererville's website (www.schererville.org) and search the parks. It should provide a list of parks with tennis courts and other ammenities. there are some courts in dyer on calumet, a bit south of main in a little park accessible off of calumet. the courts aren't in great shape but its a nice little park
