I think you would be welcomed into Valpo or Crown Point, both are very nice communities with friendly people and good schools.
Best of luck with your decision.

Wink Living in Valpo

Hi there,

I live in Valpo and have for about 2 years. It is a nice place to live. I think you would be fine living here. Despite what people may think, there are people of color who live in Valpo. In fact, I go to a Catholic church and there are a few black families who belong to our church. They are not ostracized... I don't think people even think about their color to be honest with you. As for Crown Point, I don't know too much about that. I hope you decide to move here!!!!

Crown Point is a racist area as well.

I used to live off a dead president street in Crown Point and when one black family moved in on the street everyone started to sell houses left and right. Then as life would work out I ended up having to move to a town where they actually had an article on the number of African Americans, 9, that lived in the town. There is a whole lot of ignorance out here.
