chicagoparents is on a distinguished road
Default Neighborhoods in Chesterton
Does anyone know of good neighborhoods in Chesterton, especially for young children? Also, any advice on elementary schools is appreciated. We are thinking of moving there from Chicago.

Check out coffee creek at www.coffeecreekcenter.com - we have gone walking there - beautiful area. We are originally from the northern Chicago suburbs and love the Chesteron/Valparaiso area.

Our kids go to Jackson Elementary, SE of Chesterton and we are thrilled with it. There are nice neighborhoods in price ranges from the $200k to $200M+ range, with lower taxes and housing than Chicagoland. Valpo also has good schools, a lot of Chicago commuters, etc. Try Great-Schools for local school info..
