jobs for kids in valpo?? (neighborhood, live, babysitting)

We are moving to valpo next month and I'd like to find a way for my elementary kids to earn some money. In our current community, they deliver a free community paper once a week and get paid $20 a month to do it. It's the perfect job for their ages. Is there anything like this for them in valpo?? Do you have any other suggestions for what they could do?

What about delivering news papers, walking dogs or mowing lawns or something like that? I don't know how old they are but when I was 12 I put an add in the paper for babysitting jobs and had quite a lot of responses. I also babysat neighborhood kids.

thanks! i would like to find something like they have now...the once a week paper route set-up. they are only 9 and 7, so they can't take on too much. does anyone know where i should start looking in valpo for something like this?

Call the local Valpo paper ..nwi.com - The Northwest Indiana and Illinois Times Newspaper or the post tribune. Not sure about the free weeklies ...
