Crown Point vs Lake Central schools - tell me about them (Gary: 2009, moving)

I am interested in opinions about the Crown Point and Lake Central schools. What do you like? What are you not so pleased with?

I think CP is considered ahead of LC. For the most part you (or your children) should have the opportunities they need in the majority of towns and schools in the central to southern portion of Lake County.

I'm not an expert on this, but I think the general consensus is:

less desirable: Gary, East Chicago, Merrillville, Griffith.

middle: Hobart, Highland

more desirable: Munster, Lake Central (Dyer, St John, Schererville), Crown Point.

There is little difference between the programs at LC and CP, I have relatives with children who attend in both and that is their concensus. Crown Point just likes to bill themselves as most desirable.

If I were making a decision right now, I would opt for Crown Point simply based on this nutso idea:
