Hi!
I am trying to do a survey or get an opinion on what types of restaurant or store you would like to see in the Northwest Indiana area.
I feel as if we need something new in our area. What do you think would be a success, or what would you like to see around here.
Thanks

I think Northwest Indiana needs more quality and upscale restaurants. Most of the restaurants in Northwest Indiana are chain restaurants. The only non-chain upscale restaurants I know are the Miller Beach Cafe and Tiebels.

Valpo does have some pretty good restaurants.

I'd love to see a Trader Joe's come to the area or a Whole Foods. I've actually emailed both of them a couple of times to try to get them to consider it.

Any one of these would be a great start:

Crate and Barrel; Williams-Sonoma; J Crew; Banana Republic; Kate Spade; Anthropologie; Nordstroms; Bloomingdales; Nordstroms Rack; Tiffanys; Mac; Betsey Johnson; North Face, Swoozies, BCBG Max Azria...I think I could go on and on.

Take a look at the Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. Why can't we build something like that here? Once this was put in, sales/business sky-rocketed!!! Plus, it was absolutely beautiful to walk around.

IN-&-OUT BURGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always go there when I'm in California and anyone I took there always says the same thing, "Why don't WE have one of these places back home?"

Well, we have burger places...a few, but no IN & OUT. We need one. Seems like 90% of our burger joints are the bland old national crap like McDeaths, Barfer King, and all that junk. IN & OUT NEVER FREEZES THEIR FOOD!!!! IT'S ALL FRESH!!!!

Also, need more places to just hang out, without it being a bar. Since the weather here is about 75% undesirable there needs to be more indoor recreation for people.
