Shopping in Northwest Indiana
While driving the Miller Beach area I didn't see a single grocery store (other than a Mom & Pop shop). How far do residents drive to shop? I take it there are no Trader Joe's in the area What about shopping areas for clothes and other items?

Stop saying Southlake Mall - which is now actually called Westfield Southlake - is an upscale mall.
It's not.

I don't think there are any TJ's in the area either. The closest thing you'll get is some of the gourmet/organic stuff at the Costco.
Chuckity ... I'll always call it Southlake Mall, no matter who owns the thing. It's a mall, like Castleton mall ... there are some nicer stores, but overall, it's just a mall. How much coffee you drinkin'????

I sure wish there was a Trader Joe's. I miss it. I've sent them a couple of emails trying to get them to consider NW Indiana. I think they have a store in Indy.
I always call it Southlake Mall too. Can't help it. I wonder how many people are actually going to call Sears Tower, Willis Tower. Although at work we are referring to it as The Big Willie now.

There are 2 TJ's in Indy ... within proximity of both Costcos. I keep sending messages to TJ's to get one here too ... just keep plugging!
It will always be The Sears Tower, it will always be Marshall Fields, it was always the Hoosier Dome.
