I bought a house just off Broadway a few months back and since it started snowing have noticed foot prints in my back yard that lead up to my sliding door and windows. How safe is this area? Would putting up a fence make this safer since I have an unfenced corner lot?

could it be meter readers? We have a privacy fence and security lights around the perimeter of our house .. you may want, at the very least, to get security lights with motion sensors.

Domergurl is right ... but Broadway is a loooooonnnngg street. It would help to narrow it down by giving a cross street.

Chuckity is right that you'd need to know the cross street as Broadway runs from really bad areas to nice areas. But as a rule of thumb, along Broadway I'd be very cautious anywhere north of 61st. I'd be somewhat cautious from 61st to Rt. 30. And anything south of Rt. 30 shouldn't be that bad, although you never know. Basically, as is true with nearly anything in Lake County, the further south you go on Broadway the nicer and less dangerous.

I know someone who lives right over there. Her name is Mandy.

Anyways ... that area is not typically a high crime area.

Good to know. Thanks. I think I might still get a fence though!
