Aloha

We are moving to Oahu in about 18 days. we have a realtor looking to find us a couple of 3 bedroom furnished properties in the kapolei area. I was wondering if anyone else had any other realtors that specialized in rental properties? We really want to arrive, check em out and move in. Please any reccomendations are greatly apprecaited.

Also, we heard that kapolei is very family/child friendly. anyone have any suggestions on keeping a 2 year old busy? daycare vs parks vs karate/mma schools?? any options in terms of headstart programs

We really appreciate any input and/or suggestions!!!

MAHALO!!!

also, anyone know of what a decent price/month for a 3 bedroom furnished rental property would go for in that area??? if $1500-2000 is a reasonable amount??

I would say 1500-2000 is on the low side for a furnished 3 bd in a nice area. More reasonable would be 2500-3000. Lots of owners rent directly themselves, so I would hit craigslist.

With your short timeframe, I would rent a vacation rental, from vrbo.com or similar. Then, take the time to look for a longer term rental. Be very careful of craigslist rentals. There are a lot of scams.

I wouldn't do anything until you get here. I searched the internet from Jan -June and drove myself crazy. No one will deal with you until you get on the island. Once here.....hit the craigs list and check them out by doing a drive by. Your price range is low even for an unfurnished apartment. I think you will have to spend more ....you'll see once you get here. Good Luck and welcome to Hawaii.
