Default Are The Bus cuts or upcoming cuts impacting you?

Seems like on the news almost everyday they keep talking about The Bus cuts - the first round happening last month - and the next big cuts starting in August. Seems to impact everything from downtown to the east side and hitting Waikiki particularly hard.

Lady on the news tonight - "the city is making me buy a car"

I'm wondering - is this having a material impact on anyone or just overblown hype on the news?

Asking as I hire a lot of people that generally rely on public transportation as we don't provide parking and wondering that the impact is if any - I may consider employee parking packages as a perk but resist not so much for the cost as putting more cars on the road.

It doesn't affect us, but my husband has said that he's seen an increase in tardies since they cut some of the bus routes. His company has a strict tardie policy that they are having to adjust due to the bus issues.
