Oh! I forgot about JJ Dolan's. Ate there twice and it was very good (compared to other pizza in Hawaii).

I'm from Boston, and OpenD is correct about the meaning of "Boston pizza". Many of the small pizzerias in the Boston area are run by Greeks and called the "[place or person] House of Pizza". It is NOT what the local chain called "Boston's North End Pizza" serves; they have a fairly generic pizza, not thin or salty enough for northeastern style. Pizza Hawaii in Hilo is the closest I've found here.
Just checked out the menus for Big Kahuna's and holy **** ... $16 for a 12" pepperoni pizza??? You're seriously better off just making your own. No wonder everyone gets pizza from Costco (which is surprisingly okay).<br>
I forgot about Big Kahuna's too! I don't eat a lot of pizza. But these are a lot of good reminders for when I'm in those areas!

1. "Boston pizza" - If you've been to Boston, they're close to Pizzeria Regina. If you haven't been to Boston, well ignore this comment. Not good pizza, but I do like all the Red Sox and Pats memorabilia in the stores.
2. The best pizza on Oahu is in my kitchen. (Though my friend Mark claims it's in his kitchen. We agree to disagree.)
3. Second best is at the Farmer's Markets: KCC on Saturday has one at "Big Wave" tomato stand (look for the thatched roof on their stand) where they grill the pizza with homemade macnut pesto, mozz, and their amazing tomatoes. They are at several of the other markets, but I can never quite keep track. There's also a Brick Oven pizza stand that's awesome. (Kiawe pizza?) I used to catch them on Tuesdays in Ala Moana, but that market shut down. I think they're at the Sunday market in Kailua. Not sure where else. I wish I knew their schedule better.
4. Not bad pizza: JJ Dolan's as others have said. I also really like the pizza at Bar 35. Very thin, crispy crust and some nice selections of toppings.
There's a new place at ward called "Inferno Pizza" that's getting mixed reviews. Haven't been there yet.
Bob's Pizzeria in Kailua, over by the beach. IIRC he used to own the Boston Pizza in Kailua which, IMHO, has gone into the toilet. When we first moved here I loved Boston Pizza---the closest thing to NY pizza. But it crashed and burned and now it sucks. End of story.
And, believe it or not, Chuck E Cheese. This is really embarrasing, especially since I was born in NYC. Dragged the grandkids to Chuck E Cheese during a rainy spell and found pizza that was more than passable. Greasy, cheesy, and with an appropriately charred crust. Not sure how they did it but it was good.
Last but not least....Costco. Really...Costco.
You can get Costco pizza already cooked or ready to put in you own oven. I sprinkle it with olive oil and put it on a stone that's been sprinkled with corn meal.
Not exactly on a par with NYC pizza but a fair approximation, especially is if you let the crust bubble and char.
I'm not much into the new wave pizza stuff. Macnut pizza? Eeeesh. Gotta be cheesy, greasy, and charred. YMMV.
We were going to hit Costco yesterday but it got to be 6pm and it closes ... grrr... So we drove by Auntie Pasta's and took a to-go menu. The pasta does look awesome! The pizza seems sort of pricey for a 12". I can see getting a pizza and a pasta dish and splitting between two people. We're going to wait 'till the teenager gets back from CT to go there since she claims she's Italian
The farmer's market sounds great!
We fell prey to the all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet at the ice rink center Friday. That was good.
