Are you sure you are allowed to live with them? We live on another base now, but it is against our housing contract to have another non-dependent living with us.

That was my first reaction, too. I'd want to make darned sure it's allowed before making any serious plans.

You will have to have a ID to get on the base. Better check with your sister about that?

I'm old enough to be your dad. If I was, I would probably say what Davephan said in post #2. No problem taking a break from college & relaxing a bit, however I suspect your studies weren't too demanding so you shouldn't need much time off. The job market for your age group/skill level is brutal. The longer this gap on your resume with no decent job, the harder it will be to break in later.

I might approach it like this... Come to Oahu, stay with your sis, and look at that as a chance for full-time job search -- nationwide. All job hunting is online anyway so you can do it from anywhere, even Hawaii. Endeavor to get something in your field of technology. The first good job you find -- you're outta here!
