Any recommendations for a dolphin/whale snorkeling tour? Are they worth it?

Try Dolphin Quest Oahu. I cannot say if they are good or not.
I have not swam with dolphins. But I have not heard of anything bad said about the company, or bad experiences?

I was guessing dolphin tour meant dolphins in the open sea - and for that you go to Koolina where they take you to the Waianae coast and they take you snorkeling and it's a maybe if you see Dolphins. The tour I did was able to see Dolphins and they actually drop you in the water to have them swim over/under you - Google or Yelp for the name. Was a good tour with lunch and drinks (on the way back) but you may not see Dolphins

The open water Dolphins are nothing like the dolphin encounter/Flipper experience though - different type.

We did the sea life park dolphin encounter because we had the grand kids, it was a lot of fun. You get pulled around the pool and get to interact with them. I would have preferred the open water excursion but we thought is was a little much for an 8 and 10 year old.
