Car Transporters from Mainland East Coast (home, contractors, live)

My family and I are moving back to the Oahu mid January. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with a car transporter from the east coast? Recommendations and feedback are greatly appreciated.

All transporters will use one of the same companies to transport from the west coast dock to Oahu. Call Matson, Horizon and Pasha and ask for a quote from their west coast dock to Oahu. Next call several transporters and ask for the cost from your home to Oahu.


Lets say the shippers quote $1,000 from dock to Oahu and the transporters $3,000 from your home to Oahu. You may want to consider if the extra $2,000 is worth it, or if driving a scenic cross country trip is worth saving some money.


I believe Horizon also does point to point so they pick up and deliver in-house and do not use third party contractors.

I just shipped my car from Western Mass to Oahu and can't say enough good things about Jeff from Four Corners Auto Transport. Their fee was about $200 and they dealt with everything and were always around to answer phone calls.

They have great reviews on all the sites that I found, and while we luckily had nothging go wrong with out car either cross country or across the Pacific, I feel like they would have taken care of me if they did.

They used Matson for the ocean portion of the journey, and picking up from there was smooth and easy.
